Steve lived down the block from me.  His older brother used to give us rides to school in a custom '55 Chevy most mornings.  I remember Steve very well, he was a quiet guy back in the day.

Steve, my best friend, since we were 5 years old in kindergarten at Glenview school. We went thru cub scouts, boy scouts, all thru school & life together. He moved to El Paso, Texas in 1968 & worked in VISTA , in Fabens; a El Paso subrub. WE were the very best of friends. He worked as a Probation Officer for El Paso city & county & then became Chief Probation Officer for msany, many years before his retirement.

He was VERY loved & honored by all his employees. He oversaw other county depts under him & had about 250 employees.

He was so loved,, by his all his employees,  his Probation Dept. gave him a couple surprise birthday parties.

He was a Great Guy (no pun intended)!
