Keith was my best friend at OHS and we stayed in touch throughout his teaching days at Russian River. If it's any reflection on a person's character (and I believe it is), I'd like to tell you something about his son.
Josh received a teaching credential from Sonoma State and went to work in San Diego. When Keith passed away, Josh told his school board that he was sorry, but he just had to leave his position to come back and comfort his mother. Job suicide - right? (especially for a first year teacher!). Back here, he subbed for a while.... but who's going to hire a young teacher who walked away from his contract?
Well, last I heard, Josh was vice principal at a Cotati high school! I think the courage, loyalty, and competence of this man's son reflects upon the elder. Keith shines all the brighter in my eyes for the son who follows in his footsteps.
