Wow.. somehow I always thought that certain of us would be celebrating this upcoming reunion together.. but, we lost Linda in January of '08, quite suddenly.. We were making plans to meet for dinner in a week or two, but the Lord had other plans.

Linda and I met in 10th grade, and had several classes together... we "came of age," together.. learnned how to be "girls," together, and became life long friends.  She married Larry Martin and became a wonderful mom to one son and together, they fostered children...

She was loved dearly by many in the Auburn area, including those in her church..

Mostly, Linda and I and a few others cut school together during our Senior year, went on double dates to the Island or Alameda Drive In, and just hung out with several others, more of a group than partners... She and I would go out to Livermore to the Rodeo and stay for the Street Dance...

I'll never forget Columbus Day, 1962, when Linda, Larry, Lew Britten, Chris Van Brash, Jim Muzzy, John Briedas and I cut school and went over to San Francisco for the day.. SF had that as a holiday so, we didn't stand out.. spent the day at the beach, freezing our you know whats off, in the wind and fog..

Then there was Senior Ball, and the next day in Santa Cruz.. falling asleep on the beach and getting the burns of our lives...

It was the best of times... Miss you, LInda...
