I remember when growing up I only lived about 3 blocks from him & while he was in high schol, him & his other borther started their own movie cinema in the garage of their home. They rented movies from Disney (I think it was) & had movie posters up & had two local OHS classmates working there as a usher, in the candy counter & selling tickets; it was pretty neat to have this just 3 blocks away from me!
Brian and his family lived a few doors from my house and he and his brother were true FANATICS (especially his older brother Steven) about movies. I honestly believe Steven probably had as much interest in movies (but not the making of movies) as Spielberg. They turned a very large room in their home's basement into a comfortable theater, with actual seats acquired from an old movie theater. Many children in the immediate and surrounding neighborhoods were invited to watch the movies, mostly black and white cartoons I believe. These experiences provided others and me with childhoods filled with many happy memories. (Kathy Figrouid and I were the snack bar girls and ticket takers.) As I recall, Brian was Steven's right-arm brother and really got into the spirit of the theater by providing entertainment to their friends. Brian was a gentle soul and I'm very sorry to know he's no longer with us. I'll always remember him.

I do wonder how he passed away.
