I knew Robert pretty well.  We had some math classes together.  He was the smartest student at OHS.

I remember Robert well.  He lived a couple of blocks away from me and I remember we made Mobius Strips togethe,r when we were in grammer school, on the steps of my house.  I know that he married, had a great job, and was very successful before dying in what I heard was a plane accident.  I would have loved to see him at our reunion.

ya.....we all remember Robert.....the true genius amongst us.  He sat in front of me in Physics and understood more about the subject matter than the  teacher....you all know that he scored 800 in math on his SATs.  It is my understanding that he died in a rafting accident.....changes through the years makes long for what was, because at our age we know what will be.

I must agree with you all...

Robert was the brillant student in our 1963 class.

I knew him very, very little.

Yes, it was a rafting accident in China, he drowned from, I think.

Bob was one of my closest friends. His brother still is.

Bob was not married, but had a steady lady in New York City who loved him deeply. He died of a rafting accident in Chile, while braving the rapids of an untamed river. That was the adventurous nature that went with a fine mind.

I saw him just before he died, and later recited a prayer at his memorial service.

He wasn't just a genius - there are lots of those around - but a gentle soul and a very fine human being.
